Bridge McFarland LLP, a leading law firm in East Yorkshire and Lincolnshire, is making strides for mental health awareness. A dedicated group of 30 employees, family members, and friends participated in the ABP Humber Coastal Half Marathon & 10k in Cleethorpes on September 15, 2024 facilitated by Tape2Tape Events.
Running for a Cause
The team embarked on this challenge to raise funds for Cudox Wellbeing CIC, a local organisation committed to providing accessible mental health support in North East Lincolnshire. Led by Lead Psychotherapist Angie Graham, Cudox aims to ensure that anyone aged 4 and above can access person-centred therapy, regardless of their life circumstances.
Team Preparation
Many participants are first-time long-distance runners, demonstrating remarkable dedication to the cause. The group has been meeting every Thursday in a local park for training sessions, fostering team spirit and improving their overall health and wellbeing.
About Cudox Wellbeing CIC
Cudox stands out for its flexible approach to therapy, offering services in various settings, including clients’ homes when appropriate. Their comprehensive support includes face-to-face, telephone, and online counselling, as well as creative and mind/body group therapy programmes.
Making a Difference
Josh Hunter, Partner at Bridge McFarland LLP, stated, “We’re proud to sponsor this local event and to support Cudox Wellbeing CIC in their mission to make mental health support accessible to all. This challenge not only benefits a crucial cause but has also created both a competitive and supportive buzz around the office, bringing our team closer together whilst improving their overall health and wellbeing, so much so that we have already agreed to sponsor the event again next year!”.
Angie Graham, founder of Cudox, added, “We’re incredibly grateful for Bridge McFarland LLP’s support. Their efforts will help us continue breaking down barriers to mental health care in our community.
As a thank you, Cudox delivered 2 Creative Wellbeing sessions to the Bridge McFarland team earlier this month promoting an “interesting and thought provoking session”. We are looking forward to returning in the near future to host a silent disco!”.
The team aims to raise £1,000 for Cudox Wellbeing CIC. Donations of any size are welcome and will contribute to making a positive difference in the local community.
