About Jess Brown

I am currently pursuing a Level 6 degree in Counselling at the Grimsby Institute. I hold a current DBS, and I am a registered student member of the BACP.

My approach to counselling is based on the person-centred approach, which enables you to lead your therapeutic journey at your own pace. Through personal experience of counselling, I learnt that I am not perfect, but I am enough, and this valuable experience in my life encouraged my journey to studying counselling, to become someone who helps others in the way my counsellor helped me. I am dedicated to providing an empathic and non-judgmental environment, in which a trusting therapeutic relationship can build and enable your positive personal growth.

Personally, I have a fiancé and a dog, who I love spending time with. I am also a big Harry Potter fan, which is where one of my favourite quotes came from, which is “Happiness can be found even in the darkest of times, if one only remembers to turn on the light.”
