About Kate Humphries

I am a trainee person-centred counsellor, currently studying in my final year of a BA (Hons) Counselling Top Up degree course at the Grimsby University Centre. I am BACP registered, with a current DBS. I have also undertaken a level 2 mental health awareness course, as well as a level 2 suicide and self-harm awareness course.

During the therapeutic process, I will aim to provide a safe and welcoming space which is free from judgement, in order to enable you to openly discuss any challenging issues, thoughts, and feelings. I believe that each client’s journey is unique; therefore, you are the expert in your own life and can strive to make healthy changes which can improve your lifestyle. Person-centred counselling can enhance self-awareness which can lead to healthier relationships and an improved self-concept.

Every individual may experience difficulties throughout their lifetime, regardless of age or background, and seeking support can often lead to a positive outcome for the client.
